Conflict and Resolution

Author's Note: This piece is about the conflict and resolution in the story. I wrote this to demonstrate my understanding of the conflict and resolution.

A young boy named Petey with cerebral palsy is misunderstood in an age where people have little to no information about disabilities.. It is a very sad book and it i s about Petey's life and his struggles.I think the main conflict is that no body really cares about him and no body understands his condition. Everybody thinks he is insane when truthfully all he needs is a little help and some nurturing.

Petey does make some friends along the way but for some reason they always seem to abandon him. He is an outcast. He is in an asylum with full grown men and he is the only kid. Until one day a boy named Calvin comes into the asylum. They become best friends in the world, until one day Calvin is brutally taken away from Petey.

Believe it or not Petey did fall in love. Her name is Cassie. She is a beautiful petite girl who is helping around the asylum to pay for college. She becomes great friends with Petey such good friends until the point where Petey falls head over heels in love with her. One day she leaves out of the blue. His heart is shattered, just like glass when you drop it.
